10th Anniversary Tour from TÜRKSOY

The unique voices that have come together thanks to the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY) from different countries of the Turkic world will go on a tour around the world.

TÜRKSOY's Youth Choir will take stage in Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro and Portugal as part of the festivities for the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Yunus Emre Institute. Within the frame of the event to be organized by Yunus Emre Institute in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, the choir will attend the 2019 European Capital of Culture Plovdiv, the Novi Pazar Festival in Serbia, Espressivo Music Festival and Budva Summer Festival in Montenegro, and the festivals in Ragusa and Trogir, known as the pearl of the Adriatic, and the World Choral EXPO to be held in Lisbon and Cascais of Portugal at the invitation of the International Federation for Choral Music.

TÜRKSOY's Youth Choir was established in 2019 by bringing together young, successful choir artists from the leading conservatories around the Turkic world, and it won awards in three categories in the World Choral Olympics. This year, 35 young artists will join the choir from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan and Tatarstan. Kazakhstan Philharmonic Choir Master Gulmira Kuttybadamova, from Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan National Artist and Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) Ankara Radio Polyphonic Choir Master Elnara Kerimova, from Turkey, act as the conductors of the choir.

The TÜRKSOY's Youth Choir has been making its pre-tour preparations in Ankara under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey and Plovdiv will be the first leg of its tour that will start on July 18.
