2015 Turkish Summer School Started

2015 Turkish Summer School started on July 27, Monday with ceremonies held in Denizli Pamukkale University and Tepebaşı Eskişehir. Within the framework of cooperation between Pamukkale University and Yunus Emre Institute, students from different countries around the world have joined the summer school at Pamukkale University. At the dinner organized for the opening on July 27 at the PAU’s Orange Hall, Yunus Emre Institute Vice Director Dr.  Şaban Çobanoğlu, Pamukkale University Rector, Prof. Hüseyin Bağcı, Head of PADAM Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sarıca, senate members and foreign students came together. 

Şaban Çobanoğlu has stated that they were very pleased to cooperate with Pamukkale University and added that PAU was a highly advanced university and had an honorable position for Turkey. The Vice Director has also stated that they would be happy to cooperate with this university in the future as well and has given information on the linguistic, cultural and artistic activities and projects of the Institute.

Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bağcı has stated that they had been in cooperation with the Yunus Emre Institute since 2012 and they had held international organizations during that time frame. He has also emphasized that the Institute had many activities all around the world from the Adriatic Sea to the Great Wall of China and it had been fulfilling its mission to cultivate the cultural heritage at the centers opened in those countries and that they had joined this cooperation as PAU in order to contribute to this mission.

Openings continued with the ceremonies held at Aydın Adnan Menderes University, Malatya İnönü University ve Sakarya University on July 28, and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaşi Veli University, Gaziantep Gaziantep University, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, İzmit Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality on July 29, 2015. Turkish Summer School will be closed on August 22 with a major event which will take place Istanbul.
