An exhibition titled "Art of Restoration" was opened in the city of Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) and Preporod Gallery.

It was noted that the preparation of the exhibition, organized by Cazim Hadzimejlic, a faculty member of the Sarajevo Academy of Fine Arts, and his students, took 5 years and photographs of the restored works from all over the country were brought together.

PROTECTING CULTURAL HERITAGE IS IMPORTANT

Hadzimejlic said that with the exhibition opened on June 15, 2022, they wanted to show the students the importance of protecting the cultural heritage in the country.

Underlining that they cooperate with NGOs and public institutions, Preporod Gallery Manager Amna Softic also drew attention to the successful partnership with Yunus Emre Institute.

Softic said, "We have good relations with Yunus Emre Institute. They keep many works that we could not reach before in their archives. Now, thanks to them, we can reach and see those works."

Yunus Emre Institute Culture and Art Coordinator Samed Pasalic expressed his satisfaction at having the opportunity to be the coordinator of these projects and their aim was to present the Turkish language and culture to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina on such occasions.

The exhibition, which consists of photographs of dozens of different restored objects, will end on June 16.
