Certificate Ceremony for Baglama Course Students in Tbilisi

A concert and certificate presentation ceremony were held for the students who completed the baglama course held at Tbilisi Yunus Emre Institute between 6 July - 24 December 2021.

Turkish Ambassador to Tbilisi Fatma Ceren Yazgan, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tbilisi Faik Guliyev, Turkish Airlines Georgia Manager Şerafettin Ekici and the students’ relatives attended the baglama course end-of-term event.

Speaking at the program held on 10 January 2021, Republic of Turkey Ambassador to Tbilisi Fatma Ceren Yazgan stated that she is proud of the activities of the only female poet residing in Georgia, Nargile Mehtiyeva, and emphasized the importance of organizing a baglama course at Tbilisi Yunus Emre Institute.

Underscoring the importance of artistic activities, Ambassador Yazgan stated: "We will continue to host such activities. We will organize your concerts on bigger occasions. We will bring people from Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia together with music in Georgia.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tbilisi Faik Guliyev also remarked that the culture of saz and baglama lies in the hearts of the Turkish and Azerbaijani people, adding that they are always ready to support similar projects to bring this art to young people.

After the speeches, the alumni of the baglama course gave a one-hour concert. The certificate presentation ceremony, which was held after the concert, gave the audience a musical feast and ended with a souvenir photo shoot.
