The Children's Festival, featuring traditional children's games and various workshops, has filled the streets of Madrid with fun and joy. The festival that invited children to get socialized and improve their hand skills with its motto "Kids, Let's Go Out!" was held in Centro Ponce de León between May 18 and 19.

The festival attracted a great deal of attention and included enjoyable activities such as spinning top, mask painting, spoon doll making, and nature collage. During the festival, our historical assets and cultural heritage were promoted through the print art works containing certain figures discovered in Göbeklitepe, the world's oldest temple, as well as the Hittite sun and tulip motifs.

The Turkish families living Spain, too, showed interest in the Children's Festival, which was attended by Turkish Embassy in Madrid Counselor Selin Özaydın, the embassy employees and their families and children.

With its mission of promoting Turkish culture around the globe, the Yunus Emre Institute organized the festival in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey and Ankara University's Children Culture Implementation and Research Center (ÇOKAUM) to introduce traditional games that can be considered as cultural heritage to the children aged between 6 and 15.

Initiated in April with the motto "Kids, Let's Go Out!" the Children's Festival will continue to be held in different countries until the end of June.
