Enthusiasm of Turkish Pazar Festival in Australia

12th Turkish Pazar Festival has been held in Queen Victoria Market, one of the historical and touristic destinations in Melbourne, Australia, with intense participation.

Yunus Emre Institute has opened up a booth at the festival which is considered as one of the important festivals in the city of Melbourne. During the festival, the Institute promoted the cultural, artistic and scientific activities and projects it has been conducting around the world and undertook a number of events related to handcrafts, souvenirs, the art  of marbling, traditional attire, Turkish coffee and calligraphy.

Attended by Turks living in Australia as well as visitors with different ethnic origins, the festival featured concerts by singers from Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC). Turkish Mehter Band attracted great attention. Folklore groups from different regions in Turkey showcased their unique dances and the Turkish cuisine created huge interest.
