Famed Musician Kobzos Kiss Tamás Commemorated

Hungarian musician Kobzos Kiss Tamás was commemorated at an online concert organized by Yunus Emre Institute's Budapest branch on April 27, 2020.

Yunus Emre Institute has a sent a message to all mankind from Hungary with the inclusiveness of music despite the Covid-19 epidemic wreaking a havoc around the world. At the concert held in the memory of famous musician Kobzos Kiss Tamás, known for his work for Turkish-Hungarian friendship, Erdal Şalikoğlu, Csörsz Rumen István and Miqueu Montanaro sang Turkish and Hungarian folk songs and hymns.

Yunus Emre Institute President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş, Ambassador of Hungary to Ankara Viktor Matis, Turkologist-Ambassador János Hóvari, Musicologist Sipos János, DTIK European Region President Suat Karakuş, Consul General of Hungary to Istanbul Keller Laszlo, Hungarian Cultural Center Director Fodor Gabor and Kobzos Kiss Tamás’s daughter Eszter Kolozsy Kiss attended the event.
