Institute sends free books to people under quarantine

Yunus Emre Institute has sent free books to our citizens who were taken under a 14-day quarantine at the student dormitories run by the Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Institution in Ankara after they were evacuated from abroad as part of the Covid-19 pandemic so that they can be with their beloved ones during the holy month of Ramadan and the eid. The number of the books gifted was 1,000 and included various genres, mainly consisting of Turkish classics.

Institute President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş stated that compassion consists of seeing oneself in others and this can be done via reading, and to this end, we should read first books and then the book of universe. "Our aim is to ensure that our people can keep their dreams alive by reading books and know that we are with them in these difficult times and we will overcome these days together," he said.
