Open Air Nostalgic Turkish Cinema Days in Moscow

In cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Moscow, the Russian-Turkish Businessmen's Association, and Moscow Yunus Emre Institute, the Open Air Nostalgic Turkish Cinema Days event was organized in the garden of the Institute on July 23-24, 2022.

The garden of the Institute, which was decorated in accordance with the theme of the event and included a photo exhibition of the content of the films shown, hosted colorful moments. The opening speeches of the event were delivered by Turkish Ambassador to Moscow Mehmet Samsar, Coordinator of the Yunus Emre Institute in Moscow Ferhat Tamkoç, and President of the Russian-Turkish Businessmen's Association Sabahattin Yavuz.

On the first evening of the Open Air Turkish Cinema Days, the guests who attended the event, where the movie "Aşk Tesadüfleri Sever" by director Ömer Faruk Sorak was screened, enjoyed the movie accompanied by Kahramanmaraş ice cream, bagel, popcorn, and gazoz, which are traditional Turkish delicacies that sweeten the pleasure of open air cinema. On the second day of the event, "Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım", one of the classics of Turkish cinema, directed by Atıf Yılmaz from the unforgettable work of Cengiz Aitmatov, was presented to the audience with refreshments.
