Special Exhibition for the 90th Year of Cultural Relationships between Turkey and Moldova

Gagauz people's historical bonds of love with Turkey has been displayed in the exhibition at Comrat Yunus Emre Institute at Moldova.  

Comrat Yunus Emre Institute organized a photography and document exhibition called "90th Year of Cultural Relationships between Turkey and Gagauzia" on May 19, 2021.

BOOK OF STEPHAN BULGAR WAS INTRODUCED

The book called “Republic of Turkey and the Gagauzians in 1930s” by the Gagauz historian and author Stepan Bulgar was also introduced at the event organized in collaboration with Comrat State University Department of Turkish Language and Literature.

REPORTS OF SUPHI TANRIÖVER WERE ALSO DISPLAYED IN THE EXHIBITION

The exhibition was opened by Republic of Turkey's Ambassador in Chișinău Gürol Sökmensüer, and tens of documents about the Gagauzians who went to Turkey for education during Atatürk's period, reports prepared by Hamdullah Suphi Tanrıöver after his visits to the regions where Gagauzians lived, assignment of Turkish lecturers and sending of Turkish course books to the villages where Gagauzians lived in 1934, and the successful young Gagauzians who were educated in Turkey.

The exhibition will remain open for visitors at Comrat Culture Center until June 19.
