Training Seminar Program for Turkish Language Teachers in Kazakhstan

Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) organized "Trainer's Training for Turkish Language Teaching" seminar program between August 25-29, 2021, hosted by International Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Turkish-Kazakh University in Turkistan, Kazakhstan.

 

INTERACTIVE PRESENTATIONS FOR THE DURATION OF THE PROGRAM

During the program, which was requested to be organized by YEI during the meetings with International Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Turkish-Kazakh University, an applied training program based on the needs of the trainers was delivered. The presentations were carried out with the participation of Kazakh and Turkish trainers and continued throughout the program.

The University Vice-Chancellor Assoc. Prof. Pusat Pilten and YEI Turkish Language Teaching and Turcology Director Prof. Yavuz Kartallıoğlu gave the opening speeches for the program. The training program, which was closely followed by Akhmet Yassawi University Chancellor Dr. Janar Temirbekova, included practical information which could easily be transformed by trainers into practice. The Turkish language teaching materials prepared by the Institute were distributed to the participants.

THE COLLABORATION BETWEEN YEI AND INTERNATIONAL HOCA AHMET YESEVI TURKISH-KAZAKH UNIVERSITY WILL GROW

At the opening speech of the program, YEI Turkish Language Teaching and Turcology Director Prof. Yavuz Kartallıoğlu gave a general description of the one week-long program. Kartallıoğlu informed the participants about the materials and Turkish language teaching methods of the Institute and shared the following in his speech:

"Today, we are together with valuable trainers, who are experts in their field, who have dedicated their lives to the Turkish language. It gives us great pleasure to be together with them, have conversations about Turkish.”

Kartallıoğlu mentioned that the collaboration between YEI and the University will always continue and said, "We believe that this program and others will contribute greatly to the careers and professional development of our valuable trainers."

The final day of the "Trainer's Training for Turkish Language Teaching" seminar program hosted the sample lecture presentations prepared by the participants at the end of the workshops. YEI instructors evaluated the presentations, selected the most successful three groups and gifted the group members the reference books published by the Turkish Language Association.

Özge Akbaş (YEI - Assistant Specialist)

Yunus Cünedioğlu (YEI - Assistant Specialist)

After closing speeches of Assoc. Prof. Pilten and Prof. Kartallıoğlu on September 29, 2021, the final day of the program, the winning groups in the contest for lecture delivery were presented their gifts. After the specialists of Yunus Emre Institute awarded certificates for the participants, the program ended with a collective photograph.
