Eight participants who have successfully completed the Media Academy, organized in February by Yunus Emre Institute's Tirana Branch in cooperation with the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), have found a chance to do internship at TRT World.

In February, the trainers from the TRT and expert Albanian trainers had given them a 15-day training on social media use, interviewing and questioning techniques, news and script writing, news presentation techniques, ethical framework in news, TV journalism, public broadcasting policies, live broadcast, journalism in extraordinary cases, new media technologies, etc.

Eight participants who have been successful at the Media Academy started to undergo a 10-day practical training at TRT World on Tuesday, July 16. On the first day of the Media Academy's internship program, the participants were given a promotional presentation of the organization before they were received by TRT World News and Program Director Selim Atalay. The participants toured in the buildings, processor rooms, program department, news center, MCR and Edit Suit rooms and were briefed about the satellites, the live broadcast room, the news center, and division of labor. TRT World producers and presenters gave them various information, and the participants met their fellow Albanian colleagues working at TRT World. The program is underway with group work on different topics such as social media, journalism, sports and economy.

The program which is sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey will end on Friday, July 26.
