Turkish Competition for Young People in Seoul

The 2nd National Turkish Speaking Competition has been held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.

Jointly organized by Yunus Emre Institute and Hankuk University and supported by the Turkish Airlines (THY) and the Turkish Embassy in Seoul, the competition took place at the university, and was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Seoul Ersin Erçin and Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Human Resources Office President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salim Atay as well as students from Hankuk and Pusan universities.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atay addressed the young people ahead of the competition, announcing that two young South Koreans would be employed as interns at the Presidential Complex with support from Yunus Emre Institute's Seoul Branch starting from 2020.

Following the shows by folk dance groups from Bursa and Kars, the South Korean students who were learning Turkish competed with their Turkish skills.

The students who were rated as in "elementary" and "advanced" levels were given awards.
