London Yunus Emre Institute continues to organize special and vibrant events to introduce the elements of the unique Turkish culture to its trainees learning Turkish.

London Yunus Emre Institute organized a "Turkish Culture Night" featuring many rich cultural elements of Turkish culture.

The event, hosted by the Institute on January 13, 2023, was attended by many trainees learning Turkish.

Education Officer Dr. Hadra Kübra Erkınay Tamtamış delivered the opening speech and the program continued with speeches by Turkish teachers Burhan Sönmez, Sevinç Çağlar, Sevimli Yıldız, Melihat Nazım, Duygu Altıntaş and Abdullah İnan.

MUSIC AND LITERATURE TOGETHER

Following the opening speeches, trainees recited the "Dede Korkut Prayer" in Turkish and English, sang nostalgic songs of Hababam Sınıfı and recited Yunus Emre's poems.

In addition to the trivia contest Turkish songs accompanied by guitar added made for a memorable night. The Turkish Culture Night continued with culinary activities promoting Turkish cuisine.

TURKISH DISHES AND TURKISH COFFEE RECIPES IN "TURKISH"

The trainees gave recipes for Turkish dishes and Turkish coffee, and tasted the rich flavors of Turkish cuisine.

The Turkish Culture Night ended by taking a souvenir photograph.

TURKISH CULTURE NIGHT EVENT SERIES

The event series called "Turkish Culture Night" organized by the Yunus Emre Institute in London is held at the end of each semester in order for the trainees to exhibit their Turkish knowledge and skills and to get to know the Turkish culture closely.

London Yunus Emre Institute continues to promote Turkey, Turkish language and culture in the UK, as well as to increase cultural interaction in London by hosting promotional programs for different cultures.
