Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan, hosted the Turkish miniature exhibition and Turkish day events organized by Yunus Emre Institute (YEI).

Turkey’s Amman Consul General Abdullah Subaşı, Amman Yunus Emre Institute Director Cengiz Eroğlu, and Turkish Embassy Education Counselor Hasan Arslan, as well as miniature artist Ayşenur Kapusuz and university officials attended the exhibition, which attracted great interest from the students.

Consul General Subaşı stated that this event established a cultural and social communication bridge between Turkey and Jordan.

Subaşı said that for this program, which strengthens the cultural cooperation between the two countries, Turkey’s Amman Ambassador, İsmail Aramaz, conveyed his thanks to the university administration.

Yunus Emre Institute Director Eroğlu cited that some paintings from the Ottoman archives of the history of Jordan are also included in the exhibition to show the depth of the historical bond between the two friendly countries.

“ART HAS NO LANGUAGE’’

Turkish miniature artist Kapusuz expressed her happiness in participating in the exhibition and said that they were trying to translate the Turkish language into all languages of the world and that art has no language.

Hassan Zuyut, a Turkish lecturer at Yarmouk University, stated that Turkish day activities play an important role in improving students’ language skills and reinforcing their knowledge of Turkish culture.  Zuyut emitted that such activities should continue.
