Yunus Emre Institute President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş said in a statement to TRT Haber: "Currently, the number of Yunus Emre Institutes has increased to 85. By opening Turkish Cultural Centers within universities in different countries of the world, we will hopefully complete 100 Turkish Cultural Centers in the 100th year. In this way, we will weave the whole world with cultural nets in a manner befitting our hundred-year-old Republic."

LATIN AMERICA, AFRICA, AND FAR EAST COUNTRIES ARE NO LONGER FAR AWAY

Ateş, President of the Institute, said: "For 10 years, we have reached more than 15 million people all over the world through Turkish language teaching and culture and arts activities. Within the scope of 2023, before the Institute is established, we will meet the international demand for learning Turkish, which has been created by Turkish media, Turkish TV series, and Turkish cinema. For this reason, especially Latin American countries, African countries, and Far East countries are no longer far away for us, but closer."

HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF APPLICATIONS TO TURKISH WORLDWIDE

In 2022, the Institute accelerated its Turkish teaching activities and received hundreds of thousands of applications for face-to-face and online Turkish courses from around the world.
