President of Yunus Emre Institute Prof. Şeref Ateş has made a study visit to Azerbaijan. During the visit, the programs that are planned to be executed in the fields of education and culture between Turkey and Azerbaijan, and offered by Baku Yunus Emre Institute to the Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture were discussed.
MEETING WITH THE MINISTER OF CULTURE KERIMOV
During the meeting between Prof. Ateş and Azerbaijan Minister of Culture Anar Kerimov, the details of the concrete cooperation between Republic of Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Yunus Emre Institute for the fields of culture, education and science were negotiated.
The issue of protecting the common cultural heritage between Azerbaijan and Turkey was discussed during the meeting. Issues such as creating mutual projects for the purposes of transferring Turkey's accumulation to Azerbaijan's industries of culture and art thanks to the cultural programs that will increase the professional cooperation in cinema, literature, music and other fields of art were also discussed.
TURKISH LANGUAGE TEACHING AGREEMENT WITH AZERBAIJAN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
Prof. Şeref Ateş visited Rector Prof. Vilayet Veliyev for the purposes of signing a protocol for Turkish language teaching between Azerbaijan Technical University, which made a dual diploma agreement with Gazi University, and Yunus Emre Institute. During the meeting, Prof. Ateş explained the works of our Institute regarding Turkish Language teaching to the university administration.
An agreement has been signed between our Institute and Azerbaijan Technical University for creating a Turkish language teaching program primarily for the students and teaching staff, preparing technology-based Turkish language teaching materials, and organizing Turkish Proficiency Exams (TYS) that have international recognition.
MEETING AT ADA UNIVERSITY
Prof. Şeref Ateş visited one of the most important universities of Azerbaijan, ADA (Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy) University, and met with its Rector Dr. Hafız Paşayev. The issues of developing joint projects in the field of cultural diplomacy and preparing a joint activity plan were discussed during the meeting.
