Kabul YEI Office implements vocational courses as well as cultural courses.
YEI, which carries out cultural course activities such as illumination, calligraphy and Ottoman language as well as Turkish language education, started a 6-month jewelry design and goldsmithery techniques course for unemployed Afghan youth.
In this context, 20 participants will follow the classes 2 days a week and design products such as necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings.
Participants will be given a certificate at the end of the course and will look for a job with the professional skills they have acquired.
Kabul Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Hüseyin Güngör said in his statement that they wish the participants to find employment in the field of jewelry design and goldmithery as a result of the course.
“We wanted to be beneficial to the Afghan people”
"This course also falls within the scope of joint courses with both our vocational training and culture and arts courses," Güngör said. "We wanted to be beneficial to the Afghan people with vocational courses as well as our cultural courses. We wanted to contribute to creating an employment environment in the Afghan society, where unemployment is high," he said.
