Yunus Emre Choir Concert in Warsaw

In Poland, Warsaw Yunus Emre Institute started 2022 Turkish language teaching, culture and arts activities with a concert given by Yunus Emre's choir.

The choir, led by the conductor Tuğçe Stawiarz, sang Turkish and Polish songs at the concert given at Warsaw Yunus Emre Institute.

“I WAS REALLY MOVED BY THE TURKISH SONGS”

In the night attended by many spectators, Belarusian Turcologist Karalina Komar said that she liked the concert very much and she was moved by listening to Turkish songs from Polish people.

Polish art enthusiast Jana Bazycka also stated that she heard Turkish instruments for the first time and found it very interesting, and thanked the Yunus Emre Institute family for keeping this beautiful night alive.

Expressing his satisfaction with the intense interest shown in the concert, Warsaw Yunus Emre Institute Director Fahri Akdoğan gave information about the activities of the institute.

TURKISH RYTHIMS WILL BE INTRODUVED TO POLISH PEOPLE

Expressing that nearly a thousand students are taught Turkish every year, Akdoğan said that the effects of the Turkish Films Week, which was held at the end of last year with the participation of Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, still continue.

Akdoğan stated that as Yunus Emre Institute, they will appeal to Polish art enthusiasts with cultural and artistic activities. Akdoğan stated that they aimed to introduce Turkish rhythms to the Polish people with polyphonic instruments, concluding from the interest in music in Poland, which produced world-famous musicians such as Chopin, he also said that they aimed to transform the Institute into an art center with a different aesthetic framework.
