Yunus Emre Institute to Expand to Madagascar

Yunus Emre Institute, a prominent cultural diplomacy actor representing Türkiye in Africa, is actively engaged in initiatives aimed at sharing Türkiye’s cultural heritage with the continent, demonstrating unwavering momentum in its efforts.

The Institute is set to establish a representative office in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, with the goal of showcasing Türkiye’s cultural wealth throughout Africa and fostering cultural exchange between the two nations.

Under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Antananarivo, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Yunus Emre Institute and the University of Antananarivo.

The protocol signing ceremony was attended by İshak Ebrar Çubukçu, Turkish Ambassador to Antananarivo; Muhammed Oktay, AKSA Energy Country Manager; Macit Koç, Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator; Mamy Raveloman, Rector of Antananarivo University, and Fanja Tahina Ralinirina, Dean of Antananarivo University.

As part of the protocol, the Institute intends to establish a representative office in the capital city of Antananarivo to promote the rich heritage of ancient Turkish culture, showcase Türkiye’s academic and scientific prowess, and conduct Turkish language teaching initiatives.

Yunus Emre Institute Extends Collaboration Globally

With the objective of fostering cultural dialogue, Yunus Emre Institute is expanding its collaboration with a diverse array of institutions, thereby enhancing Türkiye’s cultural diplomacy on the global stage. This effort is supported by nearly 90 representative offices, each having a significant multiplier effect.
