Bağlama virtuoso Erdal Akkaya has given a concert, accompanied by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Germany's famed conductor Jürgen Bruns, at the Kammersymphonie hall, in Berlin, the capital of Germany.

The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra's hall has testified to a travel in space and time from Paris to Istanbul and from Europe's traditional music to Anatolia's borders with diverse musical styles and eras. The concert blended the bağlama as the typical instrument of the East and Asia with the stringed instruments of the West, and music aficionados experienced an amazing evening with Akkaya's unique playing techniques. The vocals of Serap Duran and the rhythms of Mustafa Boztüy added color to the concert, which also featured the compositions by Slovenian composer Marko Muni Mihevic (1957), known for his "Eastern Express," in the musical voyage from the East to the West.
The concert, jointly undertaken by Yunus Emre Institute's Berlin Branch and Berlin Chamber Orchestra in the evening of Friday, November 8, 2019, garnered the attention of Berliners
