Cairo Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) held an iftar program in Egypt on March 28, 2024, hosting many names from the art community, press members, diplomatic mission representatives and academicians.

Türkiye's Ambassador in Cairo Salih Mutlu Şen, Azerbaijan's Ambassador in Elkhan Polukov, Pakistan's Ambassador in Cairo Sajid Bilal, Turkish-Egyptian Businessmen Association (TÜMİAD) President Nihat Ekinci and Çankırı Karatekin University Rector Professor Harun Çiftçi as well as Egyptian artists and actors Ahmed Shaker, Shery Adel, Sabry Fawwaz attended the iftar held at Sofitel in the capital Cairo.

Many diplomats, academics and press members also came together at the iftar organized by Cairo YEI.

50.000 Egyptians Met Turkish

Following the screening of the institute's promotional videos at the iftar, Cairo YEI Coordinator Emin Boyraz made the opening speech.

In his speech, Boyraz stated that the Cairo center has introduced 50.000 Egyptians to Turkish since the day it was established, and that this acquaintance is not only limited to the cultural field, but also affects all dimensions of bilateral relations.

Stating that they, as Cairo YEI, they will continue to act as a bridge to increase academic interaction between Egypt and Türkiye, especially the nearly twenty Turkish departments in Egyptian universities, "More Egyptians will attend Teknofest, the Turkish technology fair that attracts attention with its reach to important and wide audiences in the world.We continue our work without interruption to ensure the participation of our children and young brothers and sisters and to increase cooperation in the field of science and technology between our countries." Boyrak said.

In his speech, Türkiye's Ambassador in Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, expressed his satisfaction with the intense participation in the iftar, especially from the art community and the media world, and with Cairo YEI hosting the meeting of Egypt's culture and art community.
