Voice of Turkish Radio celebrates the month of Ramadan with its colorful programs this year. Radio, which meets the audience with four programs special to Ramadan every day, becomes the most colorful guest of your homes.

The Voice of Turkish Radio, which organizes four programs special to Ramadan, will be the guest at home. Radio, which shares the enthusiasm of Ramadan with the whole world, makes its listeners feel the warmth of Ramadan. The programme ”Ramadan Civilization"  describes the place of Ramadan in faith and culture, while the programme ”What's up?" talks about topics such as preparations made in Ramadan and food culture. In the program called ”Ramadan Square", the traditions of orta oyun (light comedy in Ottoman era) and meddahlik (eulogy show in Ottoman culture and entertainment life) are transferred to the present day. In the program called “Ramadan Diary”, published at different times of the day, the beauties of the month of Ramadan are summarized with a sentence.

RAMADAN CIVILIZATION: The Program specifically emphasizes that Ramadan is not about being hungry. The program describes the differences that Ramadan creates in our faith and culture, how it turns into a month in which we feed on the right sources (the Koran and Sunnah) and almost renew our faith.

Every day during Ramadan before iftar (the evening meal during Ramadan) at 19.00 and sahur (meal before dawn during Ramadan) at 03.30.

WHAT’S UP?: It is presented as a program that describes how the month of Ramadan intertwines with our conversations and chats, pre-iftar preparations, our food culture, what we fit into the period up to sahur time after iftar.

During Ramadan, every day at 14.00 and sahur time at 02.00.

 

RAMADAN SQUARE: In the program, a kind of modern version of the arts such as ‘orta oyunu’ and ‘meddah’ that exist in Turkish culture is tried to be performed.

The Program in on air every day during Ramadan at 11.30 pm and before iftar at 18.30 pm.

RAMADAN DIARY: The Program describes the month of Ramadan in a sentence every day during Ramadan. Ramadan is the beginning... It is the beginning that we are looking for to have the ability to use fasting like a shield and be strong to have all the equipment to resist evil.

The Program meets its listeners every 3 hours every day during Ramadan, 8 times a day.
