The "Mobile Math Museum" project, undertaken by Yunus Emre Institute within the framework of the Academic and Scientific Cooperation Project of Turkey (TABİP), which has been launched under the auspices of the Presidency of the Turkish Republic, has landed in Ethiopia's Addis Ababa University.

Aiming to help individuals see a new aspect of mathematics other than its abstract world and teach them how to integrate mathematics with their social life, the Mobile Math Museum has made it possible for the students to experience theory and practice at the same time.

Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Addis Ababa Yaprak Alp visited the Mobile Math Museum and he pointed out that he has been working hard to facilitate the opening of a cultural center attached to Yunus Emre Institute in Ethiopia.

Ambassador Alp indicated that such a center would make it possible for other foreigners in the country to take Turkish language courses and get an opportunity to know the Turkish culture closely through other activities.

The project containing 35 math stations as well as virtual reality and augmented reality had been launched on February 1, 2018. The Mobile Math Museum had visited 12 cities and 16 temporary sheltering centers in Turkey and then Bosnia-Herzegovina and Hungary, before flying to Ethiopia.

The museum created much enthusiasm in the city of Mekelle, Ethiopia, and was hosted first at Wollo University and then in the capital city of Addis Ababa.
