Together again at the Castle of Csókakő

Yunus Emre Institute has been the guest of the municipality of Csókakő at the 32nd Castle of Csókakő Days, organized in Hungary.

Noting that it was the first time an official Turkish delegation visited the town after 332 years, Csókakő Mayor Fűrész György drew attention to the common language, history and culture between Hungarians and Turks.

During the program entitled "Castle Days," marked traditionally since 1999 to celebrate the establishment of the town of Csókakő that has a history dating back to 720 years ago, the peaceful handing over of the Castle of Csókakő to Hungarians on October 17, 1687 after a long Turkish domination was reenacted, and the Szlindek music ensemble sang songs in Turkish and Hungarian.
