“Turkey Festival’’ in Japan

"Turkey Festival" was held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. About 25 thousand visitors attended the Turkey Festival, which was organized with the cooperation of Tokyo Yunus Emre Institute. In the festival that was held on June 11, 2022, Tokyo Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) took part in a booth and gave information to the visitors in an effort to introduce Turkish culture and language.

GREAT INTEREST IN TURKISH CULTURE

The Japanese and Turks showed interest in the festival held at the fairground in Yoyogi, located in the Shibuya district of the capital.

The stands, where distinguished products reflecting the Ottoman-Turkish culture were exhibited, attracted the attention of the participants.

SUFI MUSIC CONCERT

Queues formed in front of food and beverage outlets at the festival, where samples from Anatolian cuisine were presented.

A Sufi music concert was held, in which Tokyo Mosque Imam Hatip Kurra Hafiz Muhammet Rıfat Çınar was the soloist.
