Turkish Cinema Meets Russian Audience

The "Turkish Cinema Days" event, organized by Yunus Emre Institute's Moscow Branch, held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, has brought a host of Turkish films to the Russian audience. 

The event kicked off with keynote speeches and was attended by Sverdlovsk Oblast Deputy Minister of Culture Radchenko Sergey Vladimirovich and Consular Agent of the Republic of Turkey to Yekaterinburg Sergey Trofimov and Russian people.

Refreshments from the Turkish cuisine were offered to the guests during the event which also included a music recital and a quiz show entitled "Let Us Get To Know Turkey." During the three-day film event, the popular Turkish films including "Uzun Hikaye" (A Long Story), directed by Osman Sınav, "Ertuğrul 1980," a Turkish-Japanese co-production, "Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım" (The Girl with the Red Scarf), one of the masterpieces of Turkish cinema director by Atıf Yılmaz, "Yozgat Blues," "Sarı Sıcak" (Yellow Heat), and "Kalandar Soğuğu" (Cold of Kalandar) were presented to the taste of Russian movie goers with Russian subtitles.
