The traditional Turkish handicrafts have been put on display at the 17th London Design Fair, held in Old Truman Brewery, in London, the capital of the United Kingdom.

In the "Adorno: Crossovers" exhibition, featuring collections from 11 countries, the works of eight artists who give a contemporary twist to the traditional Turkish handicrafts such as carpet, stonework, ceramics, and woodwork were presented to the taste of art lovers between September 19 and 22.

Turkey's collection, entitled "The Hidden Hand: Crafted Turkish Design," curated by Gökhan Karakuş, contained the works of Aslı Şarman, Buket Hoşcan Bazman, Dila Gökalp, Elif Gönensay, Feyza Köksal Kemahlıoğlu, Nilufer Kozıkoğlu, Seray Asker and Sema Topaloğlu.

The exhibition sought to re-orient the role of Turkish handicrafts in the cultural and economic context to make it more visible through complementary touches and was organized jointly by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in London, Yunus Emre Institute's London Branch, Turkish Airlines, and Copenhagen-based Adorno Design company.
