"Afrin, the City of Peace" Exhibition by Yunus Emre Institute

Yunus Emre Institute, which continues to carry out major activities and large-scale projects to ensure that the people in the Syria Safe Zone live a life in peace, security and health, held the opening of the painting and calligraphy exhibition titled "Afrin, the City of Peace". 

Afrin Yunus Emre Institute continues to organize various projects for the comfort of the people living in the Syria Safe Zone. As part of the program;

Afrin Yunus Emre Institute held the opening of the painting and calligraphy exhibition titled "Afrin, the City of Peace". The exhibition showcased the works of the trainees of Eshria Center and Afrin Yunus Emre Institute, under the tutelage of painter and calligrapher Gassan Suleiman.

The exhibition attracted great interest from the people of Afrin and was also attended by many representatives from Turkish organizations and local institutions working in Afrin. Speaking at the program, Prof. Enver Hasanoğlu stated that Yunus Emre Institute has visited many Cultural Centers around the world and when he saw these works in Afrin, he was again reminded of the power of the Republic of Turkey. Commenting on the success of the trainees, Hasanoğlu congratulated the trainees in the region for their hard work and determination. Yunus Emre Institute Syria Safe Zone Coordinator Fikret Çıtlak remarked: "We are honored to open an exhibition in Afrin, one of the most important centers of our ancient civilization, together with Syria's most distinguished painter and calligraphy teacher." He also stated that they are constantly working for a Syria full of peace and love. 

The exhibition was attended by President of the International Pediatric Association Prof. Enver Hasanoğlu, Asst. Prof. Koray Boduroğlu and Prof. Orhan Derman from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Lect. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hirfanoğlu and Prof. Dr. İlyas Okur from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine and Lect. Asst. Dr. Selman Kesici from Hacettepe University.

INTENSIVE HUMANITARIAN DIPLOMACY IN SYRIA SAFE ZONE 

President of the International Pediatric Association Prof. Enver Hasanoğlu and the board of professors accompanying him visited Azaz Yunus Emre Institute, operating in the Syria Safe Zone. Pediatric studies in the Syria Safe Zone, scientific and medical evaluation of pediatric studies in the region, and issues regarding increasing studies in the field of pediatrics were discussed during the program. The delegation also visited Azaz Local Council, Free Aleppo University in Azaz and Vatan Hospital affiliated to the Ministry of Health. In the hospital, where Turkish physicians work as well, consultations, observations, diagnoses and determinations were made with doctors regarding pediatric studies. On the last day of the program, the delegation visited Çobanbey Medical Faculty and Al-Bab Yunus Emre Institute. Discussions were held with Turkish physicians serving at the faculty, especially on what can be done regarding children’s health.
