Reflection of Turkey’s Unique Cultural Heritage: Leaves from Turkish Culture

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, Yunus Emre Institute started its activities in Turkey and around the world under the theme of "100th Year of the Republic".

"TURKEY GROWING WITH THE REPUBLIC"

The Institute published the "Leaves from Turkish Culture" agenda prepared specially for the year 2023, in which Turkey's ancient cultural values, historical figures, and architectural and geographical richness are featured in every field.

In the agenda prepared as a reflection of Turkey's cultural heritage, the Institute, which carries out various activities on Turkey and Turkish culture around the world, focused on the poetic and aesthetic heritage of Turkish, the wisdom of Anatolia, the aesthetic production and way of thinking of the Turkish nation.

VALUES OF “THE REPUBLIC” FROM ITS FOUNDATION TO THE PRESENT

Turkey's leading cultural diplomacy institution Yunus Emre Institute has prepared an agenda on the theme of "Turkey Growing with the Republic", which includes a wide range of achievements and values of the Republic, from the prestigious state institutions and organizations established in the years when the foundations of the Republic of Turkey were just being laid to the developments in the fields of architecture and art after the proclamation of the Republic.

"REPUBLIC" ILLUSTRATION STUDY FROM ITS FOUNDATION TO THE PRESENT

For the 4th edition of the agenda, the Institute prepared a special collection of illustrations for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey in 2023, in order to highlight the progress made since its foundation.

YUNUS EMRE AND HIS WORKS FEATURED IN THE FIRST CHAPTER

In the first chapter of the agenda, the works of Yunus Emre, one of the most distinguished names in Turkish literature, who made significant contributions to the development of Turkish language and whose philosophy was built on universal human values, and the subjects he dealt with in his works were included.

OVER 50 TOPICS ON TURKEY AND TURKISH CULTURE

The agenda was prepared in 5 languages, Turkish, English, French, Russian and Arabic. It included more than 50 topics related to Turkey and Turkish culture.

100 FOREIGN REPRESENTATIVE OFFICES ON THE 100th ANNIVERSARY

Yunus Emre Institute, which carries out diplomacy activities in various fields in a wide range of regions abroad, will continue to expand Turkish language and culture all over the world in 2023, with the goal of reaching 100 representatives abroad for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic.
