Yunus Emre Institute continues its "Turkish Summer School" programs in Türkiye in 2023, where it hosts successful trainees learning Turkish in the countries where it has representative offices abroad.

Hosted by Manisa Celal Bayar University the Turkish Summer School program, in which the trainees embarked on a journey towards Turkish culture in order to discover and learn the elements of rich Turkish culture, from magnificent architectural structures to thousands of years old culinary delights, was held between July 17-26, 2023.

Nearly 20 trainees of different ages and professions, who attended Turkish courses at the Institute's representation in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, came to Manisa as part of the summer school.

Serbian trainees had the opportunity to get to know Türkiye and Turkish culture closely with various activities organized in cooperation with Belgrade Yunus Emre Institute and Manisa Celal Bayar University International Relations Coordinator.

LANGUAGE AND CULTURE TRANSFER ALL TOGETHER

In the summer school program, which lasted for ten days and included many language and cultural activities, the trainees improved their Turkish level by taking writing and speaking lessons at the university's Language Teaching, Application and Research Center.

Within the framework of cultural programs, the trainees saw Türkiye's cultural heritage on the spot, as well as visiting historical and touristic places with cultural trips organized to Manisa, Salihli, Kula, Soma, Bergama and İzmir.

The trainees also visited the Governor of Manisa, the Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality and the university rector within the scope of the program.
