“We Coalesce as We Remember’’ Exhibition in Çobanbey and Bab

The “We Coalesce as We Remember” Exhibition, which was opened in Azaz Syria in October last year, was also opened in Bab and Çobanbey on the occasion of May 19 Youth and Sports Day. The exhibition titled "We Coalesce As We Remember / Sociocultural Life in Ottoman Era Aleppo", which includes documents related to Aleppo in the Ottoman archives, was presented to the attention of visitors at Azaz Yunus Emre Institute on September 22, 2021.

The exhibition includes 32 works that shed light on daily life in Aleppo in many fields, from trade to agriculture, from religious life to education, during the period between 1516 and 1916.

GREAT ATTENTION TO THE EXHIBITION AT BAB

With the cooperation of Yunus Emre Institute and the State Archives Presidency, the opening of the "We Coalesce as We Remember" Exhibition was held in Bab on May 18, 2022, as part of the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.

The exhibition, which contains official articles giving information about the socio-cultural life in Aleppo during the Ottoman Empire, was presented to the taste of the participants in Turkish and Arabic at Bab Yunus Emre Institute.

The program, which was held with the participation of Deputy Governor of Gaziantep Burak Akeller, Gaziantep Provincial Deputy Director of National Education Vasıf Munis, Yunus Emre Institute Syria Safe Zone Coordinator Fikret Çıtak and many valuable guests from different institutions and organizations, ended with refreshments.

The exhibition was visited at Bab Yunus Emre Institute until May 25.

IT WAS ALSO OPENED IN ÇOBANBEY

The second of the "We Coalesce as We Remember" Exhibition met with history enthusiasts in Çobanbey on May 26, 2022.

The exhibition attracted great attention from university students and participants at the Çobanbey Faculty of Medicine, University of Health Sciences.

The program, which was held with the participation of Yunus Emre Institute Syria Safe Zone Coordinator Fikret Çıtak, Dean of Faculty of Medicine of Health Sciences University Çobanbey Prof. Dr. Mehmet Okumuş and Çobanbey Hospital health officials, ended with refreshment.

The exhibition remained open to visitors until June 9, 2022.
