Yunus Emre Institute has introduced yet another project for 2019. The Institute is planning to conduct the Children's Festival in seven countries with the intention of contributing to the solution of screen addiction in children, a global problem threatening children.

During this festival, the Institute will call on children to "get outdoors" by opening the door to a world of fun that is free from technology, containing traditional kids games and artistic workshops.

The festival will be organized in April, May and June in cooperation with and under the academic consultancy of Ankara University's Children Culture Implementation and Research Center (ÇOKAUM).

The Children's Activities Training of Trainers will be held between March 29 and 30, 2019 for the people who will take part as practitioners and planners in the activities for the children. During the first session of the training held on March 29, 2019, Professor Müge Artar, the director of Ankara University's ÇOKAUM and Children's Museum, gave a briefing on the project and the training on child development and communication with children was given. In her presentation, Fedile Tice focused on the matters that should be taken into consideration in organizing children's festivals.

The first day of training was completed with the training on the extramural learning environments given by Ceren Karadeniz, the research assistant at Ankara University's Museum Department and the training on the artistic development and art education given by Professor Ayşe Çakır, the dean of Ankara University's Faculty of Education. The program will end with the workshops to be held on Saturday, March 30.
