The Four Gardens of Heaven Exhibition in Budapest
The exhibition titled "the Four Gardens of Heaven", featuring the works of Pakistani artists, was opened in cooperation with Budapest Yunus Emre Institute and Pakistan's Embassy in Hungary.
Many people, including heads of missions in Hungary, representatives of local institutions and organizations, art lovers, students, guests and members of the press, attended the event hosted by Budapest Yunus Emre Institute on September 4th, 2023.
The opening of the exhibition was made by Turkish Ambassador in Budapest Gülşen Karanis Ekşioğlu, Pakistan's Ambassador to Hungary Asif Hussain Memon and the Asia Pacific General Director of Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Jakob.
In his speech, Pakistan's Ambassador to Hungary Asif Hussain Memon stated that they wanted to reveal Pakistan's rich art world through the exhibition and emphasized the importance of regularly holding such cultural events to increase cultural interaction between Pakistan and Hungary.
Continuing his speech, Ambassador Memon expressed his gratitude to Budapest Yunus Emre Institute for hosting and contributing to the realization of the exhibition, and expressed that he was very pleased that Yunus Emre Institute has a representative office in Hungary, as well as in Pakistan.
Turkish Ambassador in Budapest, Gülşen Karanis Ekşioğlu stated that there are deep-rooted historical ties between Türkiye and Pakistan and that the two countries support joint cooperation in the cultural field in Hungary.
The Asia Pacific General Director of Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Jakob underlined the developing bilateral relations between Hungary and Pakistan and stated that they witnessed an example of this in the cultural sense with the event held today.
After the speeches, the guests visited the exhibition, which included nearly 40 works of eight Pakistani artists.
