Guadalajara Book Fair Held in Mexico

Mexico Yunus Emre Institute attended the 36th International Guadalajara Book Fair, where students, publishers, authors and academic from all around the world come together in Mexico.

Held between November 26 - December 4 2022 and one of the biggest literary and cultural events in the world in terms of number of participants, the book fair featured the Mexico Yunus Emre Institute stand, where the Institute’s Turkish as a foreign language publications and selected works from Turkish literature could be found.

After providing detailed information to the visitors about the Institute's Turkish language teaching, culture and arts activities, Mexico Yunus Emre Institute handed out pamphlets promoting Turkey, Mexico Yunus Emre Institute and the Project for Supporting the Expansion of Turkish Culture, Art and Literature (TEDA) carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The Institute also offered the visitors refreshments to promote the rich Turkish cuisine.

OVER 2 THOUSAND PUBLISHERS FROM 47 COUNTRIES ATTENDED

Over 2,000 publishing house representatives, readers, translators and librarians from 47 countries came together with literature lovers.

Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism exhibited approximately one thousand books in Turkish, English and Spanish.
