Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) training program titled "Public Diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa" started on November 10, 2022. Within the scope of the program, Institute coordinators shared their field experiences and region-specific projects.

The online training program, which will be held until December 16, 2022, in cooperation with Yunus Emre Institute and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (ORSAM), and was attracting great interest from those who closely follow the field of international relations, started with the opening speeches of Prof. Abdullah Kutalmış Yalçın, Yunus Emre Institute Vice President, and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Uysal, President of ORSAM.

DYNAMICS OF THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA REGION TO BE DISCUSSED

The main topics of the social dynamics of the Middle East and North Africa and Middle East public diplomacy, which have strategic importance in international relations, will be discussed in detail by experts whose field of study is the Middle East and North Africa and representatives of various institutions working in the field.

During the Public Diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa training program, the topics of social media in the Middle East and North Africa, public broadcasting and media as a public diplomacy tool, education diplomacy, sports diplomacy, humanitarian diplomacy, and gastro diplomacy will be analyzed.

Within the framework of the program, Cengiz Eroğlu, Amman Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator, will make a presentation titled "High School History Textbook in Jordan and Its Impact on Society".

In the program, which covers the fields of art, literature, education, media, and gastronomy of the Middle East and North Africa, regional experts from more than 10 institutions and organizations such as ORSAM, Anadolu Agency, TRT Arabi, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, Turkish Maarif Foundation, and Marmara University will share their knowledge and experience about the region.

At the end of the training program in Turkish and English, candidates will receive a certificate of participation.
