International Student Services Association (ISSA) organized the "6th  Iranian Turkish Universities Promotion Days" program in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

Iranian students and their families from the capital and other cities attended the promotion organization held at the Tehran Yunus Emre Institute Cultural Center.

ISSA President Dr.  Dursun Aydın, in his statement, said that they held the promotion program for Iranian students online last year due to Covid-19, and they were happy to be in Tehran again this year.

Stating that they worked in coordination with universities, Aydın said, "While promoting our universities, we also offer Iranian students who want to study in Turkey the opportunity to obtain information. We are pleased with the interest shown.’’

GREAT INTEREST IN TURKISH UNIVERSITIES

Tehran Embassy Education Counselor Hasan Ekici, who followed the program, said that promotional activities should be increased and that more students could choose to study in Turkey with the right guidance.

Ekici noted that Iranian youth show interest in Turkish universities due to both cost and cultural proximity.

‘’IT IS ATTRACTIVE TO STUDY IN TURKEY’’

Meryem Emiri, one of the Iranian students who participated in the promotional event, expressed her desire to study in Turkey and the pleasure that she could find such an opportunity and come to see her family.

Saying that Turkey is attractive in terms of education options and cost, Emiri added that, in this case, her family did not object to studying abroad.

“WE HAVE OVER 2 THOUSAND IRANIAN STUDENTS’’

Atatürk University Foreign Student Program Officer and Lecturer Çağdaş Öncü marked that they introduced their university to Iranian students and provided guidance services within the scope of the two-day program.

Pointing out that thousands of foreign students are studying at Atatürk University, Öncü said, "We have the most students from Iran and Azerbaijan. Currently, we have over 2,000 Iranian students, including distance education, more than 300 formal ones.

Noting that Erzurum's proximity to the Iranian border is an advantage, Öncü said, "Especially for students coming from Tabriz and the surrounding cities, Erzurum is attractive."

During the promotional days, Üsküdar University, Başkent University, Arel University, Beykoz University, and Fenerbahçe University, in addition to Atatürk University, introduced their universities in their stands and had the opportunity to meet Iranian students.
